15 LiDAR Unit Order in China and appointment of new regional distributor

Windar Photonics plc (AIM:WPHO), the technology group that has developed a cost efficient and innovative LiDAR wind sensor for use on electricity generating wind turbines, is pleased to announce that it has received a new order for 15 WindEYE™ LiDAR units from a newly appointed regional distributor focused on potential specific IPP customers in China. The LiDAR sensor units are expected to be delivered in Q2 2017.

The newly appointed distributor is working closely with some potential Chinese IPP customers and the majority of the 15 WindEYE™ LiDARs are expected to be installed and commissioned on a specific off-shore wind park in China. They will be integrated directly into the wind turbine control system for optimization of yaw alignment to increase the average power generation on the individual wind turbines.
