ACQUISITION OF SHARES

William Hill PLC ('the Company') announces that today, Ashley Highfield, Non-Executive Director of the Company, purchased 1,373 ordinary shares in the Company at a price of 360.74 pence per share.

This transaction took place in London.

Ashley Highfield now has an interest in 8,520 shares, equivalent to less than 0.1% of the Company's issued share capital.
