The Company announces that, on 23 April 2020, it received notification that Matt Ashley, an Executive Director and Chief Financial Officer (Designate) of the Company and a Person Discharging Managerial Responsibility (PDMR), acquired 220,802 ordinary shares at an average price of £0.9255, in the Company. 

This purchase follows and is in line with the previous Company announcement on 08 April 2020 which disclosed information regarding Matt Ashley's remuneration terms and his agreement to reinvest the net proceeds from the buy-out of an incentive pay award due in April 2020, forfeited by him on leaving his former employer, into ordinary shares in the Company.  Further details of that previous announcement can be found on the Company's website williamhillplc.com/investors/board-and-governance/remuneration/update-on-executive-remuneration
