Senator Announces 3rd Quarter Results Ad-hoc-announcement transmitted by DGAP. The issuer is solely responsible for the content of this announcement. ——————————————————————————– Senator Announces 3rd Quarter Results Senator increased its sales by 75% to EUR 115.9 million compared to the same nine month period last year (1 January to 30 September 2000). International license trade was the main motor of sales growth. EBITDA rose compared to 30 September 2000 by 128% to EUR 83.7. The EBIT rose by 52% in comparison to the previous year’s period, up to nearly EUR 17 million. Receivables totaling EUR 59.3 million were settled, including the final installment of EUR 40 million from last year’s TV package deals. At the same time a EUR 35 million in new receivables were acquired during the reporting period, predominantly from international sales. The operating cash flow was significantly improved to EUR 87.8 million compared to EUR -17.4 million in the same period last year. Due to the pro-rated loss absorption and scheduled goodwill amortization for CinemaxX, the after tax earnings total EUR 6.9 million, following EUR 8.5 million in 2000. Contract closings in the international film market were dampened heavily by the events of 11 September, leading to a postponement of major transactions to next year. The first films starting out of the Revolution deal have yet to reach their admissions targets. Beyond that the fourth quarter is expected to be dominated by two blockbusters. As a result some of the film releases originally planned for the fourth quarter have been postponed until next year. This means there will probably be a postponement in TV rights sales. Senator therefore reckons with total sales for 2001 between EUR 125 million and EUR 135 million and an EBIT between EUR 2 and 5 million. After taking account of the financial results, EBT is expected to lie between EUR -8 million and EUR -5 million. Senator Entertainment AG Karl-W.
