APPOINTMENT OF DIRECTOR – MR TONY VIZZA
Perth, WA and Alexandria, VA - WhiteHawk Limited (ASX:WHK) (“WhiteHawk” or “the Company”) is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr Tony Vizza as a NonExecutive Director of the Company, effective immediately.
Mr Vizza is a seasoned executive, admitted lawyer, and internationally recognised cybersecurity leader with over 25 years of experience spanning information security, privacy, technology risk, and AI governance. He brings a rare combination of deep technical expertise, legal acumen, and proven board-level governance experience.
Board and governance experience
Mr Vizza is the Managing Partner and Founder of Novera, a specialist advisory firm delivering cybersecurity, privacy, AI risk, and digital governance services across Australia. Novera has an existing Memorandum of Understanding with WhiteHawk for collaboration in the Australian and Asia-Pacific cybersecurity markets.
His governance experience includes service as a Non-Executive Director of the Australian Information Security Association (AISA), representing over 13,000 cybersecurity professionals across the country. He is a current member of the Executive Committee of the Australian Superannuation Funds Association (ASFA) Superannuation Cyber and Financial Crime Coordination (SC3) Framework, and of the Cybersecurity Committee of the Australian Bar Association. He has served as a Cyber Security Ambassador for the NSW Government since 2019.
Executive career
Prior to founding Novera, Mr Vizza was a Partner at KordaMentha, one of Australia’s most highly regarded professional services advisory firms, where he established and led the national cybersecurity advisory practice. Before that, he served as Director of Advocacy for ISC2, the world’s largest association of certified cybersecurity professionals, leading the Asia-Pacific advocacy function from Hong Kong.
Mr Vizza is a court-appointed independent expert with extensive experience in formal legal proceedings across Australian Commonwealth and State jurisdictions, encompassing data breach litigation, privacy disputes, electronic fraud, and complex technology matters.

He has testified before the NSW Parliament Legislative Council Inquiry into Cybersecurity, participated in Commonwealth Government ministerial roundtables on matters of national cybersecurity significance, and delivered briefings on cybersecurity matters to the European Union, the United States Government, and the Australian Government.
Qualifications and accreditations
Mr Vizza holds a Global Executive MBA from the University of Sydney (which included study at Stanford University, the London School of Economics and Political Sciences, and the Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore), a Juris Doctor with Distinction from UNSW, and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from UTS. He is an admitted Lawyer and Solicitor of NSW.
His professional accreditations include Fellow of the Governance Institute of Australia (FGIA), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC), and Certified Information Privacy Professional, Europe (CIPP/E). Tony is also an ISO/IEC 27001 Senior Lead Auditor.
Recognition
Mr Vizza was a finalist for Cyber Security Professional of the Year at the Australian Cyber Security Awards in both 2025 and 2026, and was named on the Dean’s List, Faculty of Law and Justice, UNSW in 2024.
