Voting Rights and Capital

In accordance with the Disclosure and Transparency rule 5.6.1, Whitbread PLC is required to notify the market of the following:

At the close of business on the 31 May 2013, Whitbread PLC had 193,087,821 ordinary shares in issue, of which 13,788,806 were held in Treasury. Therefore the total number of voting rights in Whitbread PLC was 179,299,015. The ordinary shares have a nominal value of 76 122/153p each.

The above figure of 179,299,015 shares may be used by shareholders as the denominator for the calculations by which they will determine if they are required to notify their interest in, or a change to their interest, in Whitbread PLC under the FSA's Disclosure and Transparency rules.
