Notice of General Meeting to Consider a Proposal for Approval of Waiver of Rule 9 of the Takeover Code

A General Meeting (the "Meeting") of J D Wetherspoon PLC will take place at 1015 (or as soon thereafter as the preceding Annual General Meeting has concluded or been adjourned) on Thursday 21st November 2019 at The Auditorium, Willis Towers Watson, 51 Lime St, London, EC3M 7DQ.

The Meeting is to consider a proposal for approval of Waiver of Rule 9 of the Takeover Code (the "Proposal").

A copy of the Combined Proposal/Notice of General Meeting has been submitted to the National Storage Mechanism and is available for inspection at http://www.morningstar.co.uk/uk/NSM and to view on the Company's website at https://www.jdwetherspoon.com/investors-home/general-meetings
