Announcement of transaction in ordinary shares by a Director/PDMR

The Company was informed today that on 10 April 2014 Paul Hine, a PDMR of JD Wetherspoon plc, sold 1,228 of the company's ordinary shares at a price of 859p per share.

Mr Hine now holds 2,546 shares in the Company (including SIPS held for over 3 years).
