Announcement of transaction in ordinary shares by a Director/PDMR

The Company was informed on 26 January 2014 that on 23 January 2014, Paul Hine, a PDMR of JD Wetherspoon plc, sold 2375 of the Company's ordinary shares at a price of 807.7p per share and 1125 unrestricted shares held within the Company's share incentive plan at a price of 808.0p per share.

Following the above transaction, Paul Hine now holds the following:
