Announcement of transaction in ordinary shares by a Director/PDMR

The Company was informed today that on 26 July 2013 Helena Geoghegan, wife of Martin Geoghegan, a PDMR of JD Wetherspoon plc, sold 4,014 of the company's ordinary shares at a price of 760.4118p per share. The joint holding of Mr and Mrs Geoghegan is now 13,715 ordinary shares in the Company.
