Result of 2021 Annual General Meeting
At the Annual General Meeting of J D Wetherspoon plc ("J D Wetherspoon" or the "Company") held earlier today, 18 November 2021, all resolutions proposed at the meeting were duly passed by poll.
A copy of the resolutions and the certified votes have been submitted the FCA ESS and a summary of the certified votes in respect of each resolution will be made available shortly on the Company's website at www.jdwetherspoon.com/investors-home/general-meetings
The Company notes the number of votes received against resolutions 7 and 8 of the Annual General Meeting. The Company has stated, on numerous occasions, its view that the Company benefits from the experience of directors who have served more than nine years and does not agree that it impacts the individual's independence. The Company will continue to discuss its views with shareholders on this and other topics.
