WestStar subsidiary SIMPEC extends WestConnex New M5 Project to $4M

Highlights

• WestStar subsidiary SIMPEC has been awarded more than $2M in contract extensions on its completions contract for the Sydney WestConnex New M5 Project with the CPB Dragados Samsung JV.

• The contract is now more than ~$4M in value.

• SIMPEC still has a team on site performing commissioning activities.

• The SIMPEC team now extends it capabilities and business opportunities to the East Coast.

WestStar Industrial Limited ( Company or WestStar ) (ASX: WSI), an Australian industrial services company providing engineering, construction and mining services to the resources, energy and infrastructure sectors, is pleased to advise its engineering contractor business SIMPEC has been awarded contract extensions for the WestConnex New M5 Project in Sydney New South Wales.

The team are performing detailed Electrical and Instrumentation completions and handover activities on the WestConnex New M5 tunnel works.

SIMPEC Managing Director Mark Dimasi noted:

Outlook

SIMPEC continues to deliver strong results for the group, with the added ability to now deliver on a national footprint.

Tendering and proposals for the quarter was at an all-time high, with over $100M of new tenders received and being worked on. Several of the submissions were for new clients within the infrastructure sectors, the results of which are expected to deliver positive outcomes for the business.
