Appointment of Chief Financial Officer 

Westminster Group Plc (AIM: WSG), a leading supplier of managed services and technology based security solutions, announces the appointment of Mark L W Hughes as Chief Financial Officer from 1 November 2018. Martin Boden, the current Chief Financial Officer, will be leaving the Company on 31 October 2018 to pursue new opportunities.

Mark Leonard William Hughes BSc MBA FCA, aged 63, is an experienced Group Chief Financial Officer with over 30 years' experience of leading groups, divisions and companies sized from pre-revenue to £600m turnover, including those listed on both the main market and AIM including CFO of Hall Engineering (Full) Royal Doulton (Full), Axon (Full) and Mediwatch (AIM).

Mark currently holds 70,000 ordinary shares in the Company, representing 0.05 per cent. of the issued share capital of the Company.

Mark will be joining the Risk Committee.

Commenting on Mark's appointment, Westminster's Chairman, Sir Tony Baldry, said:

"Mark's wide-ranging international experience, particularly in emerging markets together with his considerable experience in capital markets and in M&A work, with close to 40 M&A transactions completed, and as CFO of listed, venture capital, private and private equity owned companies, will be a great asset in assisting the Company achieve its growth potential.

"Mark has helped grow shareholder value in groups of similar size to ours.  He also has worked in both Sierra Leone and the Middle East so brings significant experience in those geographical areas.  We believe that his track record of growing groups both organically and through strategic acquisitions is the profile we need to take us to the next level
