Wendel: appointments

Jean-Michel Ropert, 46, is appointed Group Vice-President for Finance.

At Wendel since 1989, Jean-Michel Ropert has been promoted Group Vice-President for Finance. CFO since 2002, he will now be in charge of Finance, Accounting and Financial communications. His responsibilities include membership in the Management Committee, the Operations Coordination Committee and attendance at the Investment Committee of Wendel. Furthermore, Mr. Ropert is a member of the Board of Directors and/or Audit Committee of certain Group companies, in particular Bureau Veritas, Stahl and Materis. Mr. Ropert holds a degree in Finance and Accounting (DECF).

Laurent Marie, 37, joins the Investment team as Investment manager.

Laurent Marie has been Head of Financial Communication at Wendel since 2009. Prior thereto, Mr. Marie pursued a 10-year career as a financial analyst. Specializing in French and international investment companies, Mr. Marie covered this sector and the media sector for several brokers (Cheuvreux, Oddo Securities, Enskilda Securities Paris, Crédit Lyonnais Securities Europe Paris). He received the topranking European Financial Analysis Award from Agefi in 2004 and 2005 as an analyst specializing in Media.

He is a graduate of CESEC (Groupe ESC Normandie) and holds a BA (Hons) from Leeds Metropolitan University.

Olivier Allot, 40, is promoted Director of financial communication.

At Wendel since 2007, Olivier Allot has been Deputy Head of Investor Relations. He started his carrier in 1996 at SBF Bourse de Paris. He was spokesperson for four years, and then became Investor Relations Officer until 2007. He contributed actively to the merger of the Stock Exchanges of Paris, Amsterdam, Brussels and Lisbon, and also to the merger of Euronext and the NYSE. Mr. Allot graduated from the Sorbonne, has a master's degree in Banking, Finance and Insurance, a master's degree in Management and administration, and holds the CEFA and SFAF diplomas.
