During the quarter Radar focussed on completing the acquisition of Weebit Nano Ltd (Weebit) and its world leading Resistive Random Access Memory (ReRAM) technology. The technology is the next generation of “Flash” memory and is essential as new applications require reduced physical size with a significantly expanded data storage capacity. Full details were released in an announcement to the ASX on November 11, 2015.

Activity was concentrated on gaining the required regulatory and shareholder approvals to permit completion of the acquisition. The Notice of Meeting seeking shareholder approvals was despatched on 12 April, with the meeting to be held on 18 May 2016. Preparation of the prospectus for the associated capital raising of up to $10 million is in its final stages.

During the quarter Radar announced Weebit’s latest major technological achievements in the areas of miniaturisation and 3D development. Radar also announced the appointment of two high profile new members to the Weebit team. Mr Kobi Livne, a partner at well-known AfterDox Angels Investment Group, joined the Weebit Advisory Board in February. Mr David ‘Dadi’ Perlmutter joined the Weebit board in March. A key player in the digital economy revolution, the former Intel Vice President brings extensive knowledge, industry connections, and vast experience in the semiconductor industry. Shareholders are considering his appointment to the board of the merged entity at the general meeting in May.

No on ground exploration was completed during the quarter. Given the intended change in direction for Radar the Company is reviewing options to realise value for its mineral assets.
