Weebit Nano announces retirement of Non-executive Director, Kobi Ben-Shabat

30 Nov, 2017 – Weebit Nano (ASX: WBT), an Israel-based semiconductor company developing the next generation of memory technology, today announced at its Annual General Meeting that Non-executive Director, Mr Kobi BenShabat, would not be standing for re-election, and has therefore retired from the board of Weebit Nano.

Commenting on the retirement, Chairman Mr David Perlmutter, said: “On behalf of the board of Weebit Nano I would sincerely like to thank Kobi for his stewardship and leadership of our company since it listed on the ASX in 2016. Kobi has been a very important member of the Board over this time, and made a significant contribution to the listing process and in establishing a strong foundation for the business.”

Mr Ben-Shabat, said: “Given competing business interests, I am retiring from the board of Weebit Nano. My time with the Company has been an enjoyable journey, and I am very grateful for the opportunity to have been involved. I wish Weebit Nano many future successes, and retire knowing that the company is in excellent hands and has a very bright future.”

The board of Weebit Nano has begun a process to replace Mr Shabat’s Non-executive Director role, seeking candidates with significant experience in the semiconductor industry. The company will update the market once a replacement is finalised.
