Wilson Asset Management announces Catriona Burns CFA will lead WAM Global

Wilson Asset Management today announces the appointment of global fund manager and past employee Catriona Burns CFA as the Lead Portfolio Manager for WAM Global Limited.

Chairman Geoff Wilson AO said Catriona Burns was an exceptional investor who would deliver for WAM Global shareholders.

“I have known Catriona for more than 14 years and she is a brilliant fund manager who knows our investment process intimately,” Mr Wilson said.

“We are delighted that she will lead WAM Global and provide investors with an outstanding opportunity to gain access to a diversified portfolio of undervalued international growth companies,” he said.

Mrs Burns said she was excited to recommence working with Wilson Asset Management in mid-February 2018.

“I began my funds management career with Wilson Asset Management in 2003 and left for London in 2007 to manage global equities,” Mrs Burns said.

“Working as an analyst with Geoff, I helped develop and implement the investment process that has delivered strong risk-adjusted returns for shareholders over our 20-year history,” she said.

WAM Capital, WAM Leaders, WAM Microcap, WAM Research and WAM Active shareholders will receive a priority allocation in the WAM Global initial public offering that is expected to launch in late April 2018.
