Appointment of Director

Walker Crips, the listed financial services group, with activities including stockbroking, investment and wealth management, is pleased to announce that Clive Bouch has been appointed as Non-Executive Director to the Board, with effect from 31 March 2017.  Clive will also join the Remuneration Committee and Nominations Committee as well as chair the Audit Committee of the Company after a brief handover period.

Clive is a non-executive director of the Steamship Mutual Underwriting Associations and chairs the audit committees at Invesco UK and Towergate Insurance.   Prior to that, he was a partner in Arthur Andersen and Deloitte, specialising in financial services.

David Gelber, Chairman of Walker Crips, says:

"Having previously held roles as both an auditor and adviser, the experience which Clive brings to the Board of Walker Crips will be invaluable and makes him an ideal candidate to take over from Robert Elliott when he retires from the Board later in the year."

Mrs N Bouch owns 10,500 Walker Crips shares. The Company confirms that there is no further information to be disclosed under LR 9.6.13 (1) to (6) in respect of Clive Bouch.
