MHM APPOINTS PHIL THICK AS NON-EXEC DIRECTOR

Aluminium processing specialist MHM Metals Limited is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr Phil Thick as a non-executive director.

Mr Thick is CEO and director of WA-based chemical manufacturing and mining services company Coogee Chemicals Pty Ltd which employs 280 staff with operations throughout Australia and Southeast Asia. Mr Thick has overseen a rapid period of growth in the business over the past four years.

Mr Thick also currently chairs the boards of junior explorer Argosy Minerals Limited (ASX:AGY) and not-for-profit organisation Perth Home Care Services and is a board member of the Disability Services Commission and Wesley College in Perth.

Before this Mr Thick spent 20 years with Shell Australia performing sales and marketing roles before branching into engineering and strategy positions including tenure as a senior executive of the board. His greatest depth of experience was in operational roles focused on distribution and logistics as well as occupational health and safety.

Mr Thick’s appointment coincides with a period of expansion for MHM Metals in Australia and the US.

Previously Mr Thick has also chaired oil and gas company Syngas Limited (ASX:SYS) and been a non-executive director of Esperance Port Authority.

Mr Thick’s background is in civil engineering and he was a graduate engineer with Alcoa in Western Australia before moving to Pioneer International and eventually Shell Australia.

Formal ratification of Mr Thick’s appointment will occur at the next board meeting on 5 June 2012.
