MHM Metals Limited is pleased to announce the appointment of Simon Wells to the board of directors, in an executive role. Simon has played a pivotal role in the development of the company’s mineral exploration portfolio and the silicon smelter proposal. He has worked closely with various multi-national project proponents and with the Tasmanian State and Federal Governments during the development of these projects. Going forward he will be responsible for the operational aspects of the company and its subsidiaries.
Simon has a background in project management and implementation, and consulting to the mining, engineering and chemical industries.
Mr Wells was the Managing Partner of 3FC Group, a consulting and political lobbying firm that represented domestic and international companies with major infrastructural development proposals within Australia. At the time of Simon’s employment 3FC was assisting proponents of developments with a capital value in excess of AUD $1.0 billion.
Mr Wells’ particular areas of expertise include government liaison, environmental management, statutory regulation, licensing, stakeholder consultation and public relations.
