VTB appoints Yulia Chupina as Deputy President and Deputy Chairman of the Management Board

VTB's Supervisory Council appointed Yulia Chupina as Deputy President and Deputy Chairman of the Management Board at a meeting on 11 September 2013. She will take up the position once her appointment is approved by the Bank of Russia Moscow Regional Branch.

In her new role, Yulia Chupina will be responsible for VTB Bank's Department of Strategy and Corporate Development, HR Department and the group's Russian subsidiaries.

"VTB Group is preparing for a new chapter in its history with the announcement of a new strategy," said Andrey Kostin, VTB President and Chairman of the Management Board. "I am confident that Ms Chupina's appointment will help VTB further realise its potential as a major global financial institution."

Yulia Chupina previously served as VTB deputy president and deputy chairman of the management board from May 2004 to June 2009.

Yulia Chupina was born in 1970, and graduated from Moscow State Linguistic University and EADA Business School in Barcelona. From 2004-2009 she served as deputy president and deputy chairman of the management board of VTB Bank in charge of strategy and corporate development, and also oversaw VTB Group's subsidiary banks and financial companies. Before joining VTB, Chupina worked at the Moscow office of McKinsey & Company, Inc. FSU from 1998 to 2003.
