Pierre-Jérôme Desmarquest is appointed Head of Operation & Maintenance at Voltalia
Voltalia (Euronext Paris, ISIN code: FR0011995588), an international player in renewable energies, announces the nomination of Pierre-Jérôme Desmarquest at the head of the group's Operation & Maintenance (O&M) activities.
Pierre-Jérôme Desmarquest takes the head of the Operation & Maintenance business, which, to date, manages a capacity of 1.2 GW of owned and third party owned power plants. He is also joining the Group's executive committee in addition to being responsible for Voltalia's operational headquarters in Oliveira de Frades, Portugal.
He succeeds to Ludovic Fort, who has played an important role in Voltalia's successes since 2012 and who, after a transition period, is leaving the company to pursue other opportunities.
Pierre-Jérôme Desmarquest has over 25 years of experience in the electricity sector, mostly as an O&M services provider. After 12 years with ABB in France, Mexico and sub-Saharan Africa, he joined Alstom in 2005 first as a director within the Power Services activity in France and then as director of Services for Latin America until 2015, based in Brazil. Before joining Voltalia, he was working as director of the Power Services activity at General Electric in France.
Pierre Jérôme Desmarquest is an electromechanical engineer who also graduated in business from the Sorbonne University (Paris) and from an executive program at INSEAD.
