Board Changes

Volt Resources Ltd ( ASX:VRC ) is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr Asimwe Kabunga as Chairman of VRC to succeed Mr Stephen Hunt effective immediately.

Mr Hunt, who has been a Director and Chairman of the Company since 2015, has stepped down from the role of Chairman as part of the Company’s Board succession planning in preparation for VRC’s next development stage. Mr Hunt will remain on the Board as NonExecutive Director.

“It has been a great honour and privilege to be Chairman of VRC, and the time is right to hand over to Asimwe to oversee the exciting next stage of VRC’s development, particularly given his vast expertise in Tanzania ” Mr Hunt said.

Mr Kabunga joined VRC as a Non-Executive Director in April 2017. He is the original vendor of the Namangale tenements into VRC and also remains the largest single shareholder of VRC. He is a Tanzanian born Australian based entrepreneur with 20 years technical and commercial experience in Tanzania, the United States and Australia. Mr Kabunga has been instrumental in establishing the Tanzania Community of Western Australia Inc, and served as its first President. He was also a founding member of Rafiki Surgical Missions and Safina Foundation, both NGOs dedicated to helping children in Tanzania. He is currently NonExecutive Chairman on the board of Lindian Resources Limited (ASX:LIN) and Non-Executive Director of Strandline Resources Limited (ASX:STA).

Mr Kabunga commented: “Stephen has worked tirelessly as Chairman to establish VRC as a credible developer of the Namangale project. On behalf of all the Board, I thank him for his contribution and dedication.”
