Opcon Powerbox installation progresses at Carnarvon

Perth-based clean power company Enerji Limited (ASX:ERJ) is progressing the installation of Australia’s first Opcon Powerbox waste heat to power system at the Carnarvon project in Western Australia.

Works have progressed apace on site after last week’s successful placement of the Opcon Powerbox on its concrete base. The cooling tower concrete upstands have been poured, assembly has commenced (see images) and the concrete bases for the water pumps and the transformer have been poured. Excavation for the pipework footings is well progressed.

  • Pouring the concrete base for the control room

  • Continued assembly of the cooling tower

  • Excavation and pouring of the concrete for all of the pipework footings

  • Installation of the water pumps on to their concrete base

  • Commencement of pipework assembly

Enerji staff and contractors are on site overseeing construction of the waste heat to power system. Further construction updates, highlights and milestones will be announced in due course.
