The Manager Company Announcements Office ASX Ltd
Carnarvon and Sales Update
Perth-based clean power company Enerji Limited (ASX:ERJ) is now well advanced on the final stages of installation of its waste heat to power Opcon Powerbox system at Horizon Power’s Carnarvon Power Station.
At the Carnarvon Power Station, Enerji’s main equipment is about 100m away from the heat recovery units (HRU). This distance is not typical and therefore the long lengths of piping at Carnarvon will not be likely at other sites. Indeed, none of the multiple sites in which Enerji is either bidding or scoping would require this extent of piping.
However, it means that the hot water piping has to travel that distance suspended well above the ground by pipe supports. Enerji is pleased to advise that these pipe supports are all in place and installation of the piping is well advanced. This is a major milestone toward the completion of construction.
As of yesterday, the structural reinforcing required to support the piping and HRUs around the gensets has also been completed.
The pictures below show how the system is taking its final shape. These photographs show the completed cooling tower alongside the Opcon Powerbox in its acoustic enclosure, the pumping system with piping installed and the hot water pipes routed through the power station on their supports.
Along with the piping, the tasks to be completed are final installations of the electrical cabling, electronic control system and the Opcon Powerbox canopy.
Opcon engineers are scheduled to return to site in approximately 2 weeks to complete construction and commence commissioning.
Further Sales
The Company is in advanced negotiations with a number of potential customers to provide Waste Heat to Power Solutions (WHPS) and will update the market with further developments as they arise. The business development team at Enerji continues to identify opportunities and engage with prospective customers resulting in an increasing number of proposals under consideration.
