The Company Announcements Platform ASX Ltd Sydney NSW 2000
Enerji & Energy Developments extend waste heat to power MoU
Waste heat to power company, Enerji Limited (ASX:ERJ), and leading remote energy company Energy Developments Limited (EDL), have extended the memorandum of understanding (MoU) the two companies announced on 31 October 2011 outlining the process for potentially designing and installing Enerji waste heat to power systems at EDL sites.
The two companies have extended the MoU by another year as both companies acknowledge progress made to date with a number of projects being actively assessed.
Under the MoU, Enerji is working with EDL to assess the commercial and technical advantages of its waste heat to power solution at EDL sites. Sites being assessed are at existing EDL-nominated sites and selected prospective new EDL sites. As per the original agreement, when a site is considered commercially viable for both parties then bona fide negotiations for a binding supply agreement can commence. Enerji has identified the potential for several waste heat to power system installations over the next few years, with some sites having capacity for multiple Opcon Powerboxes.
EDL is Australia’s largest independent remote energy business in the 1 to 100 MW field. Its remote energy business has more than 280MW of installed capacity across 32 remote sites.
Enerji CEO Greg Pennefather said, “There is high compatibility and strong goodwill with both companies and we’re pleased with progress over the past year. There is potential for multiple sites where Enerji can design and install waste heat to power systems for mutual benefit.”
