Advantages Summary of Explosive Test Kit
The kits will detect all classes of explosives
Capable of detecting precursors of clandestine explosive manufacture such as materials used in improvised liquid explosive mixtures and will detect Triacetone Triperoxide (TATP) and Hexamethylenetriperoxidediamine (HMTD).
The limit of detection (LoD) for this test kit was measured as low microgram for all materials tested except TNT. TNT has a LoD of 10 nanograms.
The test kits are very easy to use with the minimum of training
They are small and extremely light – thus very portable .
“Is ideal for applications where a low cost, easily portable test kit capable of testing in one swab for a wide range of threat materials is of value. In particular, it would be extremely useful for first responders and police search applications.” [VeriSys Service, ICTS Europe - Dec. 2007]
