Carnarvon waste heat power system set to generate power in 4 weeks & company finance update
Perth-based clean power company Enerji Limited (ASX:ERJ) has moved into the commissioning stage and is expecting first power generation in four weeks from its waste heat to power system at Horizon Power’s Carnarvon Power Station.
Enerji has appointed a contractor to complete some of the final preparations highlighted in the company’s 7 February announcement before commissioning and first power generation. Inclement weather in the region as a result of Cyclone Rusty has slightly delayed recent preparations.
The company would like to highlight that the following items remain to be completed before commissioning and first power at Carnarvon:
-
Modifications to a waste water drain
-
Fitting monitoring devices to exhaust piping
The final tasks involve formal commissioning by Opcon Powerbox engineers who will be on site prior to the end of March to begin generating power.
The Carnarvon project is the first installation of an Opcon Powerbox outside Europe and the first Enerji installation.
Enerji has also recently established a funding facility that will provide the company access to as much as $1.2m from current and near term future R&D incentive claims. It is expected that the facility will be secured imminently and Enerji will be able to access an initial $800,000 by 15 March.
The facility will provide additional funding for the company as commissioning is reached at Carnarvon and multiple new business opportunities are advanced.
