Board Appointment

 Experienced finance professional, Justin Audcent, appointed as Non-executive Director.  Former partner of Ernst & Young, member of Institute of Chartered Accountants, graduate of Institute of Company Directors, honours degree from Oxford University (UK)

Appointment of Director

ERJ is very pleased to announce that Mr Justin Audcent has been appointed to the Board of ERJ as a Non-executive Director.

As indicated in the announcement on 6 January, upon the appointment of Mr Audcent as Nonexecutive Director, ERJ’s Company Secretary and CFO, Geoff Reid, has resigned his role as interim Director.

Mr Audcent is a highly respected finance professional, who combines strategic thinking and commercial acumen with proven leadership capability and robust financial governance and oversight skills. He has over 20 years experience in accounting and finance, most recently as a partner within Ernst & Young’s Transaction Advisory Services practice for five years. Prior to which he was the Head of Corporate Finance for HLB Mann Judd.

Mr Audcent is a member of The Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia, a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and holds an honours degree from the University of Oxford (UK).

He has considerable experience in the energy, resources, infrastructure and related services sectors and in coordinating relationships with financiers, investment banks and other advisors.

He is recognised as a key influencer at board and executive level, with an outstanding record of advising both private and publicly listed companies in connection with strategic growth, corporate transactions and financing.

Board Plan

ERJ is expecting a very active year in 2014 in implementing its strategic plan and developing new power projects. A strong and capable Board is a key element of ERJ’s plan. The plan includes strong representation of independent Directors with outstanding records and experience, balance of skills and capabilities, and strong character, ambition and drive.

In addition to the appointment of Mr Audcent, the Board plan is also to appoint a high calibre independent Chairman with strong complementary skills. A process of engagement with candidates is underway.
