Volex plc  (AIM: VLX) announces that it has been informed that Lord Rothschild, Executive Chairman, has purchased a total of 14,841 ordinary shares of 25 pence each in the Company ("Ordinary Shares") via NR Holdings Limited, at an average price of 224.5 pence per Ordinary Share.  

Follo wing this transaction, Lord Rothschild* is interested in 46,911,522 Ordinary Shares (save for unvested or unexercised awards), representing approximately 25.42 per cent. of the Company's issued share capital.

* Including those shares held through NR Holdings Limited, of which Lord Rothschild is a beneficiary.
