Volex plc ("Volex"), a global provider of power and data cabling solutions, announces that Dean Moore will join the Board of Volex as non-executive director, effective from today.

Dean Moore is a chartered accountant with extensive public company experience and was previously Chief Financial Officer at Cineworld plc, N Brown Group plc, T&S Stores plc and Graham Group plc and formerly a non-executive Chairman of Tuxedo Money Solutions Limited.

He is currently an independent non-executive director and Chairman of the Remuneration Committee at Cineworld plc.

The board has separately been informed by Bob Beveridge, Senior Independent Director and Chairman of the Audit Committee, of his intention to retire from the board with effect from the date of the annual general meeting of Volex, which will be held on 27 July 2017. It is expected that Dean will assume both roles after the annual general meeting.

There are no further disclosures pursuant to paragraphs 9.6.13(1) to 9.6.13(6) of the Listing Rules in relation to the appointment of Mr Moore.

Commenting on the appointment, Volex Executive Chairman, Nat Rothschild, said:
