Directorate Change

Volex plc ("Volex" or the "Company"), a global provider of power and data cabling solutions, today announces the following changes to its board of directors.

The Non-Executive Directors have reviewed the composition of the board and have determined that the role of Chairman and CEO should be combined into an Executive Chairman position. Nathaniel Rothschild has been appointed to this position with immediate effect. Volex currently operates using a divisional CEO structure, and the board does not believe it is necessary to appoint a group CEO.

Geraint Anderson has made it clear that he wishes to step down as a director as he ceases to be Interim CEO, and the board has accepted his resignation.  Karen Slatford, who is in her ninth year as a Non-Executive Director, has informed the board that she is also stepping down, and the board has accepted her resignation.  The board wishes to express its thanks to both Karen and Geraint for their respective contributions.

To complete the new structure, the board intends to appoint a Senior Independent Director ("SID"). Bob Beveridge, who has served as a Non-Executive Director since April 2015 will temporarily assume the SID responsibilities and lead a search process. 

On appointment of the new SID, the board will comprise a majority of Independent Directors, an Executive Chairman, and a Chief Financial Officer, Daren Morris.
