Appointment of Non-Executive Director

Volex plc ("Volex"), a global provider of power and data cabling solutions, today announces the appointment of The Honourable Nathaniel Rothschild as a Non-Executive Director with immediate effect.

Mr Rothschild is currently a non-executive director of Genel Energy plc, and previously served as a non-executive director of Asia Resource Minerals plc and RIT Capital Partners plc.

Mr Rothschild is a member of the Belfer Center's International Council at the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University. He holds an MA in History from Oxford University and an MSc in Addiction Studies from King's College, London. He has an interest in NR Holdings Limited which owns 23,015,771 Ordinary Shares in Volex, representing 25.50 per cent of the issued share capital of Volex.
