Appointment of Non-Executive Director

Volex plc ("Volex"), a global provider of power and data cabling solutions, today announces the appointment of Bob Beveridge as Non-Executive Director and Chairman of the Audit Committee. 

Mr Beveridge has wide ranging Non-Executive Director and public company experience.  He currently sits on the Boards and is Chairman of the Audit Committee of Brady plc, InternetQ plc and Hampshire Hospitals NHS Trust.  Previously Mr Beveridge was Group Finance Director of McBride plc, Marlborough Stirling plc and Cable and Wireless Communications Plc.

In addition Geraint Anderson has been appointed as the Senior Independent Director, and will continue to Chair the Remuneration Committee.

Both appointments will take effect immediately.

There are no further disclosures pursuant to paragraphs 9.6.13(1) to 9.6.13(6) of the Listing Rules in relation to Mr Beveridge's appointment.
