Directorate Changes

Volex plc ("Volex"), the global provider of customised electric power and data interconnect solutions, is pleased to announce the appointment of Geraint Anderson as a Non-Executive Director with immediate effect. He will also chair the Board's Remuneration Committee.

Geraint has spent the majority of his career in the cabling, connector and electronic component industry and has worked extensively in Europe and Asia. He has been Chief Executive of TT Electronics since August 2008, the UK listed global electronics group which supplies manufacturers in the defence, aerospace, medical, transportation and industrial markets and has led the turnaround of the business through a customer led strategy.

Prior to TT Electronics Geraint spent eight years at Cisco Systems Inc where latterly he was Global Vice President of the Linksys Service Provider Business.  Geraint joined Cisco Systems in 2000 following the acquisition of Pirelli's worldwide Communications Business where he was Senior Vice President of Pirelli Cables having first joined Pirelli in 1991.

Today we also announce that Chris Geoghegan is stepping down as a Non-Executive Director, having served on the Board for almost six years.

Following a review of the Group's senior operating structure, the role of Chief Operating Officer will cease to exist and as a consequence David McKinney will leave the company and has resigned from the Board with immediate effect. Key operations and procurement functions that previously reported to him will now report directly to our Chief Executive Officer, Christoph Eisenhardt.
