KG, Langenzenn, und die Richard Hirschmann GmbH & Co., Neckartenzlingen, werden künftig bei der Entwicklung und Fertigung von Produkten für die Telekommunika- tions- und Satellitenempfangstechnologie zusammenarbeiten. Eine entsprechende Vereinbarung wurde am 14. Dezember unterzeichnet. Schwaiger und Hirschmann werden ihre Aktivitäten jeweils auf bestimmte Produktgruppen konzentrieren und so die Entwicklungskosten senken sowie über höhere Stückzahlen die Effizienz ihrer Fertigung steigern. In der Anfangsphase ist ein gemeinsames Produktions- volumen von über 5 Mio. DM pro Jahr geplant. Die Schwaiger KG und die Hirschmann GmbH & Co. zählen zu den führenden Anbietern von Satellitenempfangstechnologie. Schwaiger wird von Hirschmann ASIC-Bausteine sowie Technologie für Multischalter beziehen. Im Gegenzug wird Schwaiger künftig nicht mehr nur für die eigene Gruppe, sondern auch für Hirschmann Multischalter fertigen. Zudem werden beide Unternehmen bei der Entwicklung neuer Multischalter eng zusammenarbeiten. Die Richard Hirschmann GmbH & Co. gehört als Tochtergesellschaft der Aditron AG, Düsseldorf, zum Technologie-Konzern Rheinmetall und beschäftigt weltweit rund 2.700 Mitarbeiter. Die Kernkompetenzen des Unternehmens liegen in den Bereichen Multimedia Kommunikationstechnik, Automobilelektronik sowie Automatisierungs- und Netzwerktechnik. KG in Langenzenn, which is part of the Vivanco AG group, Ahrensburg and the Richard Hirschmann GmbH & Co. in Neckartenzlingen. will be collaborating on the development and manufacture of products for the telecommunications and satellite receiver technology sectors. The appropriate agreement was signed on 14 December. The aim of this collaboration is for Schwaiger and Hirschmann to be able to concentrate their activities on specific groups of products and either to reduce the development costs or increase productivity by manufacturing in larger quantities. Projections are for a joint production volume of over 5 million DM per year in the start-up phase. Schwaiger KG, one of the major providers of satellite receiver technology, will purchase ASIC components and the technology for multi-switches from Hirschmann. In return Schwaiger will produce multi-switches not only for their own group but also for Hirschmann. In addition the two companies will collaborate closely on the development of new multi-switches. Richard Hirschmann GmbH & Co. is a subsidiary company of Aditron AG in Düsseldorf, as such it belongs the Rheinmetall group of technological companies and employs 2,700 people around the globe.
