Eure bis 2003 -Innovationsoffensive stärkt Wachstum der Segmente IT und TK Die Vivanco AG, Ahrensburg, blickt auf ein hervorragendes Jahr 1999 zurück: Sie konnte ihr Ergebnis vor Steuern nach den vorläufigen Zahlen im vergangenen Jahr um 190 Prozent auf 8,3 (2,8) Mio. Euro steigern. Der Jahresüberschuss hat sich auf 4,6 (1,1) Mio. Euro mehr als vervierfacht, Das Ergebnis je Aktie nach IAS konnte der führende Spezialist für IT- und TK-Zubehör auf 83 (21) Cents ebenfalls nahezu vervierfachen. Gleichzeitig stieg der Umsatz der Vivanco Gruppe um 31 Prozent auf 126 Mio. Euro. Den eingeschlagenen Wachstumskurs will Vivanco auch künftig halten, vor allem durch ein überproportionales Wachstum in den Produktsegmenten Informationstechnologie (IT) und Telekommunikation (TK). In den kommenden vier Jahren, also bis spätestens 2003, soll der Umsatz um weitere 125 Prozent auf 285 Mio. Euro gesteigert werden. Gleichzeitig soll das EBDIT (Ergebnis vor Abschreibungen, Zinsen und Steuern) noch stärker um 150 Prozent auf knapp 70 (27) Mio. Euro zunehmen. Besonders stark soll das Wachstum in den Segmenten Informationstechnologie und Telekommunikation ausfallen, deren Anteil am Umsatz in den nächsten vier Jahren von derzeit 50 auf 75 Prozent steigen wird. Wichtige Wachstumsträger sind eine Reihe von neuen Produkten innerhalb einer Innovationsoffensive, deren erste Serie Vivanco derzeit auf der CeBit vorstellt. Mit dem MP3-Player V-MAX präsentiert Vivanco den kleinsten MP3- Player der Welt, der bei Maßen von 46mm x 53mm x 16 mm nur noch 30 Gramm wiegt. Das Gerät, das im Handel für weniger als 500 DM erhältlich sein wird, arbeitet mit modernster Multimediacard (MMC) und beherrscht auch künftige Kartenformate. Besonderer Vorteil ist die Ausstattung mit zwei Slots für Speicherkarten (z.Zt. 32 MB). Durch e@synet kann der PC in 5 Minuten Internet-fähig gemacht werden. e@synet besteht aus einer ISDN-Box und zwei Kabeln. Ein Kabel verbindet die Box mit der Telefondose, das andere führt zum PC. Zusätzlich ist eine CD-Rom enthalten, die vollautomatisch die Installationsarbeit übernimmt. Man benötigt nur einen PC oder ein Notebook mit USB-Schnittstelle, sowie einen ISDN Telefonanschluß. Nach fünf Minuten kann der Anwender ohne Grundgebühr lossurfen. Der Verkaufspreis für e@synet liegt unter 140 DM. Das Multimedia-Keyboard Win 2000 ist eine Tastatur mit 12 Internet-Tasten und 19 zusätzlichen Multimedia-Tasten (Hot Keys), die frei programmierbar sind. Damit können die Anwender Audio-/Video- oder E-mail-Funktionen steuern. Die Standard-Funktionstasten sind als Internettasten belegt: Drückt der Nutzer z.B. die “News”-Taste erhält er sofort Zugang zu aktuellen Informationen aus Politik, Wirtschaft, Börse, Sport oder Wetter. Das Keyboard ist in vier transparenten Farben erhältlich (Transparent Line) und wird im Laden weniger als 70 DM kosten. Mit dem Multi Talk Vario Kit bietet Vivanco eine universal einsetzbare Freisprecheinrichtung. Bei einem Wechsel des Handymodells muss dank einer innovativen Konstruktion künftig nur noch ein passender Halter gekauft werden. Die bisher übliche aufwendige Neuinstallation von Elektronikbox, Mikrofon und Lautsprecher entfällt völlig. Der Verkaufspreis des ab Ende März erhältlichen Gerätes liegt zwischen 300 und 340 DM. Provisional figures for last year show pre-tax earnings up by 190 percent to reach 8.3 (2.6) million Euro. Profits for the year have more than quadrupled to 4.6 (1.1) million Euro. As leading specialist for IT and telecom accessories, the company also posted a close to fourfold increase in earnings per share (IAS method) to 83 (21) cents. During the same period sales for the Vivanco Group rose by 31 percent to 126 million Euro. Vivanco plans to maintain its present growth momentum, in particular with growth in the information technology (IT) and telecoms products sector outstripping that in other segments. Over the next four years, in other words by 2003 at the latest, we are aiming for a further increase in sales of 125 percent to 285 million Euro. During the same period we are targeting an even higher growth in EBDIT (earnings before depreciation, interest and taxes), of 150 percent to about 70 (27) million Euro. Projections are for especially strong growth in the information technology and telecoms segments, with their share of sales rising from the current 50 to 75 percent over the next four years. Major growth engines are a range of new products created as part of an innovation drive; Vivanco is currently presenting the first series at the CeBIT. Vivanco’s MP3-player V-MAX is the smallest MP3-player in the world, measuring just 46mm x 53mm x 16mm and weighing in at 30 grams. This player will retail in the shops for under 500 DM, it works with the latest multimedia card (MMC) and will be able to cope with future card formats. An added benefit is that it has two memory card slots (currently 32 MB). Installing e@synet makes a PC Internet ready within 5 minutes. e@synet consists of an ISDN box and two cables. One cable connects the box to the telephone socket, the other to the PC. The system comes with a CD-ROM that takes care of the installation work completely automatically. All that is needed is a PC or notebook with a USB interface and an ISDN telephone line. Five minutes later the user can start surfing the Net without paying any basic fee. e@synet will retail for under 140 DM. The multimedia keyboard Win 2000 is a keyboard with 12 Internet keys and 19 additional multimedia keys (hot keys), which can be programmed as wished. With these keys the user can steer audio/video and e-mail functions. The standard function keys are set up as Internet keys. Pressing the “news” key, for example, provides instant access to the latest news in the world of politics, business or stock markets, to sports and weather updates. The keyboard is available in four transparent colours (Transparent Line) and will sell in the shops for less than 70 DM. The Multi Talk Vario Kit is Vivanco’s speakerphone kit for all mobile phones. The innovative construction means that in future, when someone changes to a different mobile phone model, the only extra thing they will need is the right clip. There will be no more need to spend any time and effort reinstalling electronics box, loudspeaker and microphone. The kit wilt go on sale at the end of March and cost between 300 and 340 DM.
