Viscom AG acquires product familiy
for inspection of semiconductor products

Hanover, 23 August 2007. In its meeting yesterday, the executive board of
the Viscom AG approved the purchase of the MX product familiy including all
licenses and patents of Phoseon Technology Inc.

The US-american company, domiciled in Hillsboro near Portland, Oregon,
holds the rights to a novel infrared light technology for the
non-destructive testing of silicon surfaces throughout the entire
semiconductor manufacturing process. Acquisition of the MX product line
grants Viscom exclusive access to Phoseon's highly efficient illumination
technology for inspections in the 1.1 µm wavelength range.

This transaction takes the form of an assets deal and grants Viscom
licenses, patents and know-how as well as current customer projects from
Phoeson Inc. Integrating these assets will be facilitated by the transfer
of employees and comprehensive trainings. Confidentiality regarding the
acquisition price has been agreed to; the purchase is covered entirely by
the liquidity of the Viscom AG.
