Mobilarm Announces Receipt of $1.2M initial Nigerian order
Perth, Western Australia : Global marine safety equipment provider, Mobilarm Limited (ASX: MBO) (“The Company”) today announces that further to the ASX announcement dated 14 September 2012 Mobilarm today confirmed the first orders for the Nigerian Oil and Gas Industry.
This follows the Nigerian Department of Petroleum Resources directive dated 6 June 2012 mandating the use of an approved Maritime Survivor Locating Device (MSLD) and life jacket for all offshore and swamp personnel. Mobilarm has the only approved MSLD for Nigerian operations. The directive has a compliance date of 1 January 2013.
Blisston Nigeria Ltd, our exclusive Nigerian Reseller, today placed initial orders in excess of AUD $1,200,000.
Mobilarm CEO Ken Gaunt commented: “It is encouraging to see the first orders placed. Congratulations must go to Wellington Okotobei and his team for the tremendous effort they have put in over many years. We expect a rush of orders as the compliance date looms.”

There are in excess of 10,000 workers operating in the Nigerian Offshore Oil and Gas industry.
