New Executive Vice President

Mathias Wideroth, age 45, will assume the position of Executive Vice President of Rederi AB Transatlantic on June 1, 2008. Among other duties, Mathias Wideroth will be responsible for the Industrial Shipping business area and will be based in Gothenburg. The Industrial Shipping business area deploys slightly more than 30 vessels in its Atlantic and European Services, with particular expertise in forest products and steel transports and integrated door‐to‐door logistics solutions.

Mathias Wideroth has extensive experience within international and Swedish shipping operations, most recently as the head of commercial operations in Asia at the Tokyo office of Wallenius Wilhelmsen Logistics.

Carl‐Johan Hagman, President of Transatlantic, says

‐ "Mathias Wideroth's task will be to improve the coordination of our conventional fleet and to create a platform for further expansion. His solid market experience and shipping expertise will be a significant and valuable contribution to Transatlantic."
