Appointment of Group Finance Director

The Board of The Vitec Group plc ("Vitec"), the international provider of products and services for the broadcast and photographic markets, is pleased to announce the appointment of Martin Green as Group Finance Director with immediate effect. 

Martin has been Acting Group Finance Director since 13 September 2019. The Board has carried out a thorough search process utilising the services of a search consultant and also assessed Martin in this role.  Having done this and taking into account Martin's experience with Vitec, the Board considered that Martin is the right person for this role.  Martin will also retain responsibility for Business Development.

Martin has been with Vitec since April 2003 and became an Executive Director in January 2017. Martin is an ACCA-qualified accountant and began his Vitec career in financial reporting. His previous experience includes working at N M Rothschild & Sons.  He has an MBA from Cranfield School of Management and an MA in Law from Cambridge University.

Stephen Bird, Group Chief Executive Officer, said:-

"I have worked with Martin for 10 years and he has an excellent understanding of Vitec's business, its strategy, markets and people.  He brings strong strategic and commercial capabilities to the role of Group Finance Director and the Board is firmly of the view that Martin is the stand-out candidate.  I am delighted that he has accepted this role."

Vitec will release its Full Year Results for 2019 on Friday 28 February 2020.
