Vestas to acquire a 25 percent stake in Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners P/S

Vestas Wind Systems A/S (Vestas) has today entered into an agreement with the investment management company Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners P/S (CIP), whereby Vestas will acquire a 25 percent minority stake in CIP's parent companies. The stake will be acquired at a price of EUR 500m, in the form of EUR 180m as upfront payment, and EUR 320m as an earmout.

With the investment, Vestas seeks to create value across a wider range of the renewable value chain.

The transaction is expected to be completed in the first quarter of 2021.
