Vestas Wind Systems — M&A Activity 2010

Randers, Denmark, 2010-12-17 12:28 CET (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Today, there is
information in the market regarding Vestas entering into an agreement with EDF
Energy Renewables.

Vestas can confirm that we have entered into an agreement with EDF Energy
Renewables regarding a wind power project in Scotland. The agreement is
expected to fulfil Vestas' announced definition for disclosure of firm and
unconditional orders at the beginning of 2011.

Vestas discloses this announcement based on Vestas' obligation as a Danish
listed company.
