Versarien plc (AIM: VRS), the advanced materials engineering group, has been notified that Christopher Leigh, Chief Financial Officer (via his Self-invested Personal Pension) has today purchased 150,000 ordinary shares of 1 pence each in the Company ("Ordinary Shares") at 14.89 pence per share for a total consideration of £22,335.

Following this market purchase, Mr Leigh's interest in the share capital of the Company has increased to a total of 315,000 Ordinary Shares representing 0.24 per cent. of the Company's issued share capital.
