Drilling Commences on PL 44/2004 Shashe River East Tenement Old Workings (Shashe Old workings)

Drilling commenced at PL 44/2004 Shashe River East on the 18[th] of February at the old copper workings. Ground geochemistry and IP geophysics conducted over the old workings during the December 2010 quarter confirmed anomalous targets for drilling.

The Company is targeting a large IP anomaly that is closely associated with surface copper mineralisation. The new coincident IP-copper in soil anomaly is to the north of the new discoveries made at Airstrip and Dibete in 2010.

This prospect has potential for disseminated copper sulphide and supergene copper mineralisation similar to the Dibete supergene copper deposit.

Preparatory work for drilling has consisted of mapping the location of the old workings, carrying out a soil sampling program of 442 samples and analysis of the soils by Niton portable XRF analyser.

Follow up of the soil results has been a 10.85 line kilometre dipole-dipole IP program over a 1200 metre strike length in the direction of the mineralisation.

Further IP surveying is ongoing to close off the IP anomalous zone.

The soil Niton results were interpreted to indicate a series of anomalies, with the main anomaly located around the old copper workings. This main anomaly has a strike length of nearly 200 metres, is open to the west and has a maximum width of about 120 metres.

The drilling target is disseminated copper sulphide mineralisation associated with a substantial IP chargeability anomaly that will initially be tested with 12 RC drill holes. Further holes may be drilled over a second anomaly.

The initial 12 drill holes are located on lines 4500E, 4600E and 4700E and will test under and adjacent to the old workings. This area also has potential for supergene copper mineralisation.

The IP survey identified a major chargeability anomaly that extends westwards from the area of the old workings under the Shashe River and has also been identified on IP lines on the north side of the river. The Shashe River is approximately 120 metres wide and no IP data can be obtained over the bed of the river.

Secondary copper minerals in rubble have now been located on the north side of the Shashe River which extends the previously known 200 metre stri k e extent of copper mineralisation to 500 metres.

Drill holes have been designed to t est the old workings for supergene copper mineralisation as well as the underlying IP chargeability anomal y that appears to have associated copper in s oil geochemical responses wherever the chargeability zone app r oaches surface. This can be seen on the IP sect i ons for lines 4500 E, 4600 E and 4700 E together with the propos e d drill holes.

VTEM HELICOPER SURVEY COMPLETE

A helicopter borne VTEM survey covering the SHASHE RIVER EAST and SHASHE RIVER WEST (1,360 line kms) and the Airstrip and Maibele and Dibete areas (1,790 line kms) was completed on the 20[th] of February 2011 for a total of 3,150 line kms. The data is currently being finalised ready for interpretation so that drill targets can be more clearly defined for follow up drilling.

DEPARTMENT OF GEOLOGICAL SURVEY BOTSWANA - PL 111/94, PL 54/98 AND PL14/2003

As previously advised, BML has lodged additional budgeting data required by the DGS in order to form its opinion under Section 17 of the Mines and Mineral Act of Botswana 1999. No update has been received from the DGS other than to confirm the amended application has been received. BML expects a response from the DGS in the March 2011 quarter.

RIGHTS ISSUE AND PLANNED APPLICATION OF FUNDS FOR EXPLORATION ACTIVITIES

The Company successful completed a rights issue to qualifying shareholders in accordance with a replacement prospectus and raised the full subscription amount of $2.87m.

The Company’s cash position is currently $5.4m. The majority of these funds (approximately $4m) have been budgeted for exploration on the Company’s new discovery targets made in 2010 on PL 110/94, 111/94 and 54/98 (the latter two subject to an extension application lodged with the DGS) and at the Shashe PL’s 44/2004 and PL 48/2004, both of which expire at 30 June 2011 along with other PL’s as detailed in the Company’s December 2011 quarterly report.

Shashe River West and Shashe River East (PL44/2004 and PL 48/2004) will be a high priority area where old workings and ground geochemistry has shown potential targets for copper–silver mineralisation similar to Dibete. BML will also review all other tenements in its portfolio that have exploration potential for a discovery, particularly those that are due to expire at 30[th] June 2010. However, BML’s main focus will be to detail drill the mineralisation at Airstrip, Maibele and Dibete (depending on the DGS’ advice per above) prospects to determine the extent of the mineralisation in order to carry out resource estimations.
