EMERSON STEWART ORDER BOOK UNDERWRITES GROWTH
Emerson Stewart Group Limited (ASX: ESW) [ACN 22 958 178] today confirmed:
-
A secured order book of contracts for its infrastructure business line now represents a revenue stream extending through to 2018.
-
It has recently secured 2 new strategically relevant projects in the resources sector.
Infrastructure:
The Infrastructure business headed by Marino Evangelisti was launched in late 2007. Over the past 5 months the team has grown to 15 engineers, servicing a number of clients in the Western Australian urban development sector including Stockland and Peet Limited.
The book of work includes a recently awarded contract to provide the engineering and construction management of a significant portion (4,500 lots) of the Wungong urban water development in Armadale, Western Australia.
In addition, the Company has been retained by the Department of Housing and Works to provide advice on suitable water management strategies for the proposed urbanisation of the Keralup urban community (formerly Amarillo), 10km north east of Mandurah in Western Australia.
Emerson Stewart’s Managing Director Dario Amara said the growth of the Company’s infrastructure business reflected the currently buoyant conditions in the industry supported by projected Government spending, estimated by industry analysts to be in excess of $160 billion in aggregate, allocated to infrastructure projects across Australia over the next four years. Significantly the nature of the secured order book is such that it provides recurrent revenue streams into the future, he said.
“Our Infrastructure business line has already secured a number of key projects and we plan to further expand this part of our business to take advantage of the current market conditions,” said Mr Amara.
Mr Amara added that the Company’s horizon for further growth in its secured work portfolio has been further enhanced by its recent ASX listing giving it the capital base
and corporate standing to support the working capital needs for such additional work growth.
Resources:
The 2 strategically relevant resource projects relate to one in Australia with BHP Billiton, and the other in the Middle East, each representing exciting developments for the Company’s future:
BHP Billiton Petroleum / Macedon Gas Project - Working closely with BHP Billiton personnel and other contractors, Emerson Stewart will be providing high level gas processing operations and maintenance advice to support the initial conceptual design and future operation of the onshore Macedon Gas Project.
Iran Potash Co. and Iran Zinc Mines Development Group (IZMDC) - Emerson Stewart has been commissioned to review the development of a Potash facility in Zanjan, a mineral rich province in Western Iran for the Iran Potash Co. and Iran Zinc Mines Development Group (IZMDC).
