LogiCamms Awarded $8.5m Contract at Meandu Coal Mine

LogiCamms Limited is pleased to announce that it has been awarded a contract with Stanwell Corporation Limited (through its subsidiary TEC Coal Pty Ltd), to upgrade the Control System of the Coal Handling Preparation Plant (CHPP) at the Meandu mine in south east Queensland.

The contract has an estimated value of $8.5m, with work commencing immediately and continuing for approximately 18 months.

The Meandu mine operation supplies over 7mtpa of coal to the adjacent Tarong power stations. LogiCamms’ scope for the CHPP Control System upgrade project involves detailed design, installation, factory and site acceptance testing, commissioning, and operator training.

LogiCamms’ Managing Director, Steve Banning, said that the contract award builds on the company’s solid track record in control system projects and delivery of services to the coal industry.

“We are pleased to be working with Stanwell Corporation to deliver the Meandu CHPP Control System upgrade, for which LogiCamms will draw on its extensive coal industry experience across multiple disciplines, as well as a strong understanding of delivering projects in brownfield environments,” Mr Banning said.
