Zörbig/Leipzig, September 28, 2010 - Today, VERBIO Vereinigte BioEnergie AG
- ISIN DE000A0JL9W6 - has concluded a contract about the purchase of a
stake in Märka GmbH in the amount of economical 89.35% with Sauter
Verpachtungsgesellschaft mbH, Zörbig. The shareholding in Märka GmbH
secures VERBIO Vereinigte BioEnergie AG the direct access to the farmers
and with it in-house raw material supply. The transaction will amount to
EUR 24.57 million. In addition to cash settlement the transfer of 1,470,000
own shares (treasury stock) of VERBIO Vereinigte BioEnergie AG are agreed
as equivalent.

The execution of the contract is still subject to the approval of the
Supervisory Board of VERBIO Vereinigte BioEnergie AG as well as of the
anti-trust authorities.
