TRADING HALT

The securities of Astro Resources NL (the “Company”) will be placed in Trading Halt Session State at the request of the Company, pending the release of an announcement by the Company. Unless ASX decides otherwise, the securities will remain in Trading Halt Session State until the earlier of the commencement of normal trading on Thursday, 23 February 2012 or when the announcement is released to the market.

REQUEST FOR TRADING HALT

We hereby respectfully request that a voluntary trading halt be placed on the securities of Astro Resources NL (ASX:ARO) with effect from the commencement of trading on 21 February 2012.

For the purpose of Listing Rule 17, ARO hereby the following information:

• The Trading Halt is necessary as the Company will be completing a capital raising;

• ARO requests the Trading Halt remains in place until 10:00am (Sydney time) 23 February 2012 unless before that time ARO makes an announcement in relation to the capital raising; and

• ARO is not aware of any reason why the Trading Halt should not be granted.
