Further update re TruSpine Technologies plc

The Board of Vela (AIM:VELA) has become aware that the announcement that it made at 7.00 a.m. on Tuesday 14 June 2022 has been misinterpreted in some quarters and is therefore issuing this further update.

The earlier announcement stated that a placing letter had been signed on behalf of Vela without the authority of the Vela Board.  Vela wishes to clarify that the broker referred to in the announcement as 'the Company's own broker' was not Vela's Broker, Peterhouse Capital Limited ('Peterhouse') but was a reference to the retail stockbroker and custodian used by Vela.

Vela also wishes to apologise to Peterhouse for the misunderstanding that may have arisen from the original announcement.
